The rod is optimized for finesse fishing with spoons in the 1 – 3 g range, offering exceptional sensitivity and precise lure control. Its specially engineered taper eliminates the need for aggressive hook sets. Instead, it maintains constant hook pressure and significantly reduces the risk of fish coming unhooked during the fight. By utilizing the natural stretch of nylon line, the rod creates a smooth and reliable hooking effect while retrieving, allowing fish to stay securely pinned without excessive force. In addition to spoons, the Chimera 62L+ performs excellently with crankbaits featuring a pronounced silhouette. As part of the Chimera series, the 62L+ perfectly complements the Chimera 603L-e, which was developed specifically for ester lines. While ester models focus on long-distance casting and sharp hook sets, the 62L+ takes advantage of nylon’s elasticity to achieve a softer and more natural hook engagement.
